Benign Prostate Hyperplasia

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is the condition where benign enlargement of the prostate (BEP).

Condition Information

The prostate is a male reproductive gland that surrounds the urethra, the tube through which urine passes out of the body. The prostate weighs approximately 28 g, and is walnut-shaped.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)  is the condition where benign enlargement of the prostate (BEP), and adenofibromyomatous hyperplasia took place. There is then an increase size of the prostate.
As the prostate grows, it can press on the urethra, obstructing normal flow from the bladder that can cause the patient not to empty his bladder sufficiently

The prostate enlarges over the course of many years of exposure to male hormones, and is mostly common with older men.
